When inquiring about the LED display price, the manufacturer will usually tell the size (length, height), but some customers do not know the specific LED screen size, and only give an area. In this case, how to calculate the indoor LED display size specification ? Let’s take an example to illustrate: there is an indoor LED full-color screen with an area of 12m2, and the screen specification is P10 (pointing distance 10mm). How to determine the screen specification here?
a. First of all, only the area of the screen is given here, we have to calculate the length and width by ourselves. Usually calculated according to the ratio of length: width = 4:3 or 16:9. Because of this, the LED display screen has a good picture effect. (Take 4:3 as an example here)
b. Theoretical screen length is: length = (area ÷ 12) square root × 4
Width = square root of (area ÷ 12) × 3
Namely: length=4m width=3m
c. First of all, the unit board specification of P10 indoor full-color display screen is 320×160mm, and the unit board resolution is 32×16 dots
d. Calculate the number of LED unit boards used.
The number of unit boards = the length or width of the pre-made screen ÷ the length or width of the board
The number of long-term unit boards: 4 meters × 1000 ÷ 320 = 12.5 ≈ 13
Width makes the number of unit boards: 3 meters × 1000 ÷ 160 = 18.75 ≈ 19
d. Calculate the size of the actual LED screen.
Actual screen length or width = board length or width × number of boards used for screen length or width
Actual screen length: 320×13=4160mm or 4.16 meters
Actual screen width: 160×19=3040mm or 3.014 meters
e. Screen area: 4.16×3.014=12.53824 (square meters)
It is also worth noting that the size of the outer frame of the screen is usually 5-10cm on each side based on the size of the screen.
f. The resolution of the screen = the number of modules used for the screen × the resolution of the module
Screen resolution=(13×32)×(19×16)=416×304
